Things to Do in Queenston

If you are interested in learning about the history of Queenston, visit the Laura Secord homestead. Laura Secord is a Canadian hero because of her bravery to trek 20 miles, taking over 18 hours, to warn Canadian troops of an invasion. In 2003, Laura Secord was designated a Person of National Historic Significance by the Minister of Canadian Heritage for her heroic actions during the War of 1812. A tour of the homestead is a great way to spend an afternoon learning all about her. 

Queenston Heights Park is another historic must see. It's a beautiful place to bring a picnic or take a walk, with facilities that include two picnic pavilions, washrooms, a children's splash pad, tennis courts, a band shell, a snack bar, and a children's playground.

Located in the park is Queenston Heights Restaurant. They offer an award-winning wine cellar, in addition to breathtaking views of the Niagara River and the vineyard. Enjoy their popular Sunday Brunch service, or settle in for an evening of fine dining from a menu curated by Chef Bill Greenan.
